Expert Witness Reports in Non-Freezing Cold Injury (NFCI), Aviation and Diving Medicine from an expert with over 10 years of experience in taking instructions from the most respectable law firms. Reports that are clear, provide an evidenced based opinion, and are fully CPR Part 35 compliant. David will discuss a case without fee and can often provide an opinion with regard to the merit of 'questions' or a 'Joint Discussion'.
The law enters every facet of human life, none probably more so than medicine. As a consultant doctor David was already familiar with the ethical and legal elements of medicine, and the statutory obligations under the law such as The Equality Act 2010, The Access to Medical Reports Act 1988, and others. However he wished to expand his legal knowledge further in order to refine and improve his practice.
Therefore David completed the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) in 2013, following this up with a Degree in Law (LLB) in 2014. Then he completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) over 2 years to qualify as a Barrister. Accordingly he was called to the Bar as a member of the Inner Temple in 2016.
Due to David’s experience in Military Occupational and Environmental Medicine and his expertise in Aviation, Diving and Military Medicine, David is an Expert Witness in those fields. He is commonly instructed to compile reports for solicitors, particularly in those fields and in that of Non-Freezing Cold Injury (NFCI); David had worked as a consultant at the Cold Injuries Clinic (CIC) at the Institute of Naval Medicine (INM) whilst in the Royal Navy.
David’s legal knowledge ensures that his reports are fully compliant with Part 35 of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR). It also enables him to understand the legal principles of the case and converse on level terms with regard to both legal language and legal procedures.
David is content to receive instructions from either Claimant’s or Defendant’s solicitors, and will provide Terms and Conditions (including a Schedule of Fees) upon request.
